چکیده

Soybean (Glycine max L.) is one of the most valuable oilseed crops in world. It not only an oil seed crop and feed for livestock, but also mineral vitamins sources human diet. The soybean yield affected by various biotic abiotic stress factors all growing seasons. Diseases are significant that reduce growth yield. Fungi important pathogens affecting quality attacking plants during period after harvest. This study was conducted to detect identify seed-borne fungi associated with seed. From this context, 150 seeds were randomly chosen from experimental fields Akdeniz University Antalya province Turkey. These sterilized 70% ethanol 1 min, followed 10% sodium hypochlorite min then rinsed sterile water placed Petri plates using agar plate method. A total four species namely Aspergillus spp., Penicillium Cladosporium spp. Fusarium isolated seeds. Additionally, Genomic DNAs these fungal extracted internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region ribosomal DNA amplified ITS-1 ITS-4 primers a thermal cycler. After sequencing products, sequences aligned. BLASTn analysis each sequence showed had similarity (99%) isolates deposited GenBank.

Screening of Microfungi from Soybean (glycine Max L.) Seeds

Seed health testing by studying the seed-borne fungi of soybean seeds is an important step in the management of the seed-borne diseases. In the present study seed-borne fungi was studied by using agar plate method. A number of seed-borne fungal species was isolated from the agar plate. These seed-borne fungal sps. were Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, A. fumigatus, Chaetomium globosum, Curvularia ...

Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr].

In this chapter we describe an Agrobacterium tumefaciens transformation method of soybean that utilizes mature half seeds and regeneration from the cotyledonary node region. This method results in fertile transformed soybean plants and transgenic seed in approximately 9 months. Using mature half seeds as starting material has proven to be a reliable method that does not require additional wound...

Phenolic content and antioxidant properties of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) seeds.

The contents and antioxidant ability of various classes of phenolic compounds present in the seeds of twenty soybean hybrids were evaluated. Total phenolics, tannins and proanthocyanidins were determined spectrophotometrically, after extraction of seeds with 70% aqueous acetone. In addition, the flavonoid contents were determined. The antioxidant activity of aqueous acetone extracts was evaluat...

Translocation of Sulfate in Soybean ( Glycine max L

MATERIALS AND METHODS Sulfate translocation in soybean (Glycine max L. Merr) was investigated. More than 90% of the sulfate entering the shoot system was recoverable in one or two developing trifoliate leaves. In young plants, the first trifoliate leaf contained between 10 to 20 times as much sulfate as the primary leaves, even though both types of leaf had similar rates of transpiration and ph...
